Google’s AI Secrets got stolen by a former engineer
The News: A former Google software engineer named Linwei Ding got arrested in California. He's a Chinese national. The big deal is that he got charged with stealing trade secrets about artificial intelligence from Google.
While working at Google, Ding was secretly working with two companies in China too. The authorities say he stole valuable AI tech from Google and shared it with those Chinese companies.
The U.S. Attorney General and the FBI Director spoke about this case. They're worried it could hurt America's economy and national security.
ChatGPT now has a 2FA security feature
The News: ChatGPT just couldn't hold back from releasing a new feature this week as it has been insane for their parent OpenAI. They were first slapped with a lawsuit by Elon Musk, and then we saw the release of Claude 3, a ChatGPT-4 level competitor, which is believed to be the new king of chatbots.
But now you can add extra security to your ChatGPT and API accounts by turning on multi-factor authentication.
Just go to your account settings, and you'll find the option to turn it on. That way, your account is safer and more secure.
