The News: Anthropic just released Claude 3, and there are three types:Ā
Opus, Sonnet, and Haiku. Each one is different, with its own special skills, speed, and cost.
The Opus model is really impressive. It's even better than some of the big names like GPT-4 and Gemini Ultra, especially when it comes to things like knowing lots of stuff, solving problems, coding, and math.
Claude 3 is also pretty good with pictures, just like some of the other top AI models out there. Opus is especially awesome because it hardly ever forgets things, even when you give it a lot to remember.
What is more? Now anyone can use Claude 3 right away because there's no waiting list for their API. While everyone's been talking about Gemini and ChatGPT this year, Claude 3 is stepping up to get some attention, and as it seems, dethroning them too.

The News: OpenAI finally fires back at Elon Musk. Through a blog post, they mentioned that Elon Musk once wanted to have a big say in the company, even suggesting it should join up with Tesla.Ā
He was looking for a lot of control, like being the main owner, having a big say in the board, and being the CEO. But OpenAI was like, "Nope, that's not in line with our mission."Ā
Elon Musk isn't too happy with OpenAI these days. He thinks they've moved away from their original goal of being a nonprofit that helps everyone, and now they're too close to Microsoft, focusing more on money than on helping humanity.Ā
After taking his complaints to court, OpenAI clapped back, saying they never promised to share everything they make with the world. They even showed an old email where Musk agreed it was okay to keep some AI stuff under wraps.
