HOW TO USE SPECIFICITY SCALING TO GET THE MOST OUT OF CHATGPT

I've found this prompting technique to be extremely helpful.

It helps you avoid giving too much info at once or too little for ChatGPT to understand.

It's a simple trick called Specificity Scaling.

Let's say you want to learn about eating healthy.

Instead of asking a big question like: "How can I eat healthier, including better snacks, and what are good diet plans?" 

This question is too broad. 

ChatGPT  might give a general answer about healthy eating, snacks, and diet plans, but not in detail.

Here's how to use Specificity Scaling:

Step 1: Basic Question

Ask: "How can I eat healthier?"

ChatGPT might say: "Eat more fruits and veggies, cut down on sugar, and drink water."

Step 2: A Bit More Specific

Ask: "What are healthy snacks?"

ChatGPT might say: "Try eating nuts, yogurt, or fruit as snacks. They're better than junk food."

Step 3: More Detailed

Ask: "How can I make fruit more fun to eat?"

ChatGPT might say: "Make fruit salads, or try them with yogurt. It's a fun and tasty way to eat fruit."

Each step gets more specific. This helps the AI give better answers.

Step 4: Very Specific

Ask: "What are some easy fruit salad recipes?"

ChatGPT might say: "You can make a fruit salad with apples, bananas, and oranges. Add some honey for sweetness."

With each step, the answers fit your needs better. 

This technique helps in getting the right balance between overloading ChatGPT with too much information and providing too little for it to understand your request.

The News: Elon Musk just shared a video of Tesla's Optimus robot folding a t-shirt. While the robot did the task, it wasn't doing it by itself. It was more like a puppet, being controlled to move in certain ways. Musk says that one day it will be able to fold shirts all by itself, without any help.

Why it matters: This is interesting because making a robot that moves like a person and can do everyday tasks is really hard. Even though Optimus can fold a shirt, it's still being controlled by people. Musk thinks that in a few years, it will work on its own, but some people think that might take a really long time.

META’S NEW AI CAN CREATE MUSIC FROM WORDS

The News: Meta has developed MAGNET, an AI tool that transforms text prompts into music, sound effects, and environmental noises quickly and efficiently. Unlike other systems, MAGNET learns by masking parts of a song and using the context to fill in gaps, making it seven times faster without compromising on sound quality. It's also capable of creating realistic sound effects and ambient noises, demonstrating its versatility.

Why it matters: MAGNET is special because it can figure out music by looking at parts of songs and guessing what should be there. It does this 7 times faster than other AI but still sounds just as good. It can even turn words into sounds like doorbells or birds chirping. Maybe in the future, it could even help make videos!
