Yesterday we said Most AI bots are females but today a generated Nude image of Amelia Earhart has stroke up the conversation of AI’s are inherently misogynistic.

An AI is only as smart as the data it's trained on or the populace's opinions on the internet, so we are basically saying Humans are misogynistic. Since Lensa AI which was used to generate this image is fed data that means the team is misogynistic

For many women the app does more than just spit out a pretty picture: the final results are highly sexualized, padding women’s breasts and turning their bodies into hourglass physiques.

“Is it just me or are these AI selfie generator apps perpetuating misogyny?” tweeted Brandee Barker, a feminist and advocate who has worked in the tech industry.

Sylvester.ai is working with Ruelle, a Calgary feline specialist, to help diagnose your feline friend’s mood and well-being.

The Tably app uses facial recognition and artificial intelligence to assess whether your cat is having a good day.

“There are lots of pain scales out there that look at facial features,” said Dr. Liz Ruelle with the Wild Rose Cat Clinic. “The shape of the whiskers, how are those ears set? That sparkle in the eyes.”

Those facial expressions – or grimace scales as they’re called – for species like cats are highly correlated with pain.

AI to be introduced as a subject from Grade 08 in Sri Lanka

The Ministry of Education has decided to introduce Artificial Intelligence as a subject in the school syllabus from Grade 08.

Speaking on the matter, Minister of Education Dr. Susil Premajayantha stated that although it was initially planned to introduce Artificial Intelligence as a subject in Grade 10, it was later decided to start teaching the subject from Grade 08 owing to the increasing demand for knowledge on the matter in today’s society.

The decision was made based on suggestions made by a committee of experts, which included university professors.

Emphasizing the role played by technology in modern society, Premajayantha stated that in another five years, finding employment in industries apart from the labor industry will prove to be difficult without even the most basic knowledge about IT.

super pumped for this and really hope more countries get to introduce AI earlier in the education system.
